When I was six years old, I decided that I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. I'm not sure that I'm quite grown up yet... but I'm definitely a writer! I think it's the best job in the world, because I get to make stuff up, play around with words and sounds, and meet lots of kids. My FAVOURITE things!
I also like reading (of course), eating, walking on beaches, watching foreign movies, drinking too much coffee, and listening to the rain on the roof. Favourite colour: purple. Favourite book (someone else's): Margaret Mahy's 'The Man Whose Mother Was a Pirate'. Favourite book (mine): the one that's just come out! Favourite reader (at this very moment): YOU.
